This Month's Highlights

(10) → (11) → (12) → (13): A #soul #new-age #smoothjazz #chillbeat run that opens with a gorgeous chill/soul moment at (10), drifts through an '80s–'90s breeze, and eases into a modern bridge leading to a Nujabes joint track at (13).

I'd Be Lost
This month's second pick, also featured last month — Thee Marloes. A three-piece band from Indonesia rooted in '60s–'70s soul, with a lounge-y feel and a mellow, sweet texture that's just right. "I'd Be Lost" has an arrangement made for the beach — pure summer chill.
Their profile (via Spotify) included this line from the album description:
"Rather than explaining those tensions outright, the songs aim to feel them."
That idea — music that lets you feel rather than explain — really resonated with me. And with a Tokyo show coming this September, I'm already looking forward to it.
Give it a listen!
